Telekhany

Telekhany Forestry Enterprise spreads partially over the territories of three Administrative Districts (Ivatsevichi, Liakhovichi and Gantsevichi) of the Brest Region. It is located some 250 km south-east of Minsk. It consists of the Telekhany Ski-Manufacturing Factory, and Hunting Ground "Vyugonoschanskoe". The Enterprise encircles 83 thousand ha.

The territory of the Enterprise features a waterlogged plain and approx. 2,600 ha of a glassy surface of Lake Vygonoschanskoe. The Tourist Facility is located on the south shoreline of Lake Vygonoschanskoe and consists of a wooden house (14 beds), sauna, a helipad and boat station, and auxiliary premises

Because of the variable relief of the territory, the territory of the Enterprise is abundant in various flora and fauna. There reside 36 species of mammals, 128 species of birds, 18 of which are listed in the Red-Data Book of the Republic of Belarus, rich in fish and amphibious fauna. The number of ungulates runs up to about 130 moose, 240 wildboar, and approx 140 deer, with the row-deer exceeding 200. Besides, there are about 250 beavers, the common otter, mink, and muskrat. Predators to be encountered are wolves (10), raccoon dogs (20), foxes (100). Also, one may come across pine-forest game - capercaillie (more than 100 birds) and black grouse (200). The lands of the Enterprise are ideal habitats for waterfowl (mallard, diving duck, common shipe, and others). The Hunting Ground "Vyugonoscvhanskoe" is just the place for a wide circle of nature amateurs. Due to the rich and varied fauna, especially of birds, the site is an attractionfor both, ornithologists and amateurs in general. There is a number of rowing and motor boats along the quay - just the place to be frequented by those who seeks pleasure on water. The lake is abundant in fish: more than 20 species - what else needs a dedicated angler? The Hunting Ground "Vyugonoscvhanskoe" can organize hunts on a commercial basis for different wild animals and birds as well as fishing.
